Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-25

The short version

VibeGear is a Chrome extension. You install it, you get a 7-day free trial, then VibeGear Premium is $9.99 / €9.99 per year. Billing is handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Cancel any time, get a refund within 14 days no questions asked, and your local data stays on your machine because nothing ever leaves it.

1. Who you’re agreeing with

By installing or using VibeGear (the “Service”), you (the “User”) agree to these Terms. If you’re using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you don’t agree, simply don’t install the Service — and if you already did, you can uninstall at any time without obligation.

2. The Service

VibeGear is a developer-focused toolkit shipped as a Chrome extension and a web app at vibegear.dev. All features run locally in your browser. We don’t see, store, or process the text, code, requests, files, or any other content you put through the tools. The only data we hold about you is the anonymous identifier we use to track your subscription status — see the privacy policy for details.

3. Subscription & payment

  • VibeGear is offered as an annual subscription at $9.99 USD / €9.99 EUR per year.
  • First-time installs include a 7-day free trial. No payment information is required to start the trial.
  • When the trial ends, you can subscribe to keep using the Service. Otherwise, the extension stays installed but features are gated behind the paywall.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew annually unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Pricing may change for new subscribers. Existing subscribers keep their current price for the duration of any prepaid period.

4. Billing & merchant of record

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles VAT and sales tax in 190+ countries, and never shares your full payment details with us. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle’s buyer terms.

For billing questions or invoice copies, contact Paddle directly via the support link on your receipt — they have access to your payment record; we don’t.

5. Refunds

14-day refund window, no questions asked. If you’re unhappy within 14 days of paying, email hello@vibegear.dev and we’ll process the refund through Paddle. After 14 days we’re unable to refund a full year, but you’re free to cancel — your access continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

6. Cancellation

Cancel any time. Email hello@vibegear.dev with the email you used at checkout, or use the cancellation link in any Paddle receipt. After cancellation:

  • You keep access through the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • The subscription does not auto-renew.
  • Your locally-stored data (collections, tool inputs, preferences) stays on your machine — we never had a copy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to attempt unauthorized access to systems you don’t own or have permission to test.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to bypass the subscription paywall.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or substantial portions of its compiled output.
  • Use the Service in a way that violates applicable law (export controls, sanctions, fraud, etc.).

We reserve the right to terminate access for material violations. In the rare case we do, you’ll get a pro-rated refund of any unused subscription period.

8. Intellectual property

VibeGear (the extension, the website, the trade name, and the associated assets) is and remains our property. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in line with these Terms.

You retain ownership of any content you put through the Service. Since that content stays in your browser, we never have a copy and never claim any rights to it.

9. Third-party APIs

The HTTP, Realtime, and Playground tabs let you call third-party APIs of your choice. Those calls are between you and the API; we don’t inspect, store, or proxy them (the extension uses Chrome host permissions to bypass CORS — the actual fetch happens from your browser to the API). You’re responsible for complying with any third-party terms.

10. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

VibeGear is a developer tool. Don’t use its output as the sole verification step for anything safety-critical. Always review generated code, hashes, signatures, and credentials yourself before deploying or sharing them.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page changes when we do. For material changes, we’ll notify subscribers at the email associated with their Paddle account at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Oslo, Norway, except where local consumer law grants you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms? Email hello@vibegear.dev. For billing or refund requests, that’s also the right address — we’ll route you through Paddle as needed.
